On Saturday October 16, we were outside having dinner. Tyler decided he would go across the Monkey Bars. He fell and landed on both of his hands. He moped around the rest of the night, but we thought he was okay. The next morning he couldn't get himself dressed for church. Wayne wrapped his arm with an ace bandage and we went to church. After church I was trying to decide if he needed to go to the doctor. Finally, at dinner, he couldn't hold the fork with his right hand, so I decided to take him in. They x-rayed both arms and found the right wrist was broken. They told me to take them to an orthopedic surgeon. Monday morning I called Dr. Richter (the same doctor who took care of Braden's broken arm) and made an appointment for 11:30 am. The looked at the x-rays and put a cast up above his elbow. He will have that cast for two weeks, and then on November 1, they will remove that one and replace it with a cast that will end below his elbow.
It is his right arm, but he is able to hold a pencil and will be able to write. It is a little shaky, but we are just glad he can do it. He is learning how to do things with one hand and need help with a lot of things. It has been a crazy couple of days!

Poor guy. Gwyn feels bad for him and mentioned how the teacher said they can all help him when he comes back. She's making him a get-well card...
